Disbelief. I can't believe she made that.

The word we felt was disbelief that something like this actually happened. We couldn't believe that it happened.

I'm in disbelief. Really, it's just disbelief.

They probably didn't care if it was the real thing or not. They wanted it to be. And by suspending their disbelief they could believe in the illusion.

A child has no trouble believing the unbelievable, nor does the genius or the madman. It’s only you and I, with our big brains and our tiny hearts, who doubt and overthink and hesitate.
