Our government is founded upon the intelligence of the people. I for one do not despair of the republic. I have great confidence in the virtue of the great majority of the people, and I cannot fear the result.

It looks like the larger majority of Hispanic businesses in Lynn will be closed. There is definitely a lot of division nationally on whether or not a strike is a good idea, but people on the North Shore seem very united about the strike.

The majority of our production is for the Chicago Assembly plant, more than 50 percent. The rest is split between the other eight, and three of those are being closed. We hope to recoup that capacity with the new models that are coming.

In politics, an organized minority is a political majority.

By virtually any measure, the record of the Republican Majority is an appalling failure.
