Defense set the tempo for this game.

This is my first shot at coaching the boys and I'm looking forward to the challenge.

Then the crowd got into it. I was worried going in that the girls might be a little nervous with this atmosphere.

And Pittsville made some good plays, especially on defense.

You've got to make the shots, and we had some breakdowns on defense. We can compete with good teams, but we have to find ways to finish games. We're getting better in practice, but it's got to start carrying over into the games.

Our plan was to not give up a lot of big plays, ... Our defense is getting better and better each week.
