Credit to them, they played very well. It was not an easy wicket to bat on early on - but they played like real champions.

(Michael) Vaughan is lucky that Gilchrist has not shone with the bat. We were also similarly lucky in 2003-04 when Gilchrist couldn't get going.

It was one those bad days for them [the wicket takers]. I think they bowled a bit too short, but all credit to them. They bowled splendidly well throughout the tournament [the World Cup].

Thanks to them [the wicket takers] and my other team-mates for their efforts in getting to the final. Obviously we didn't win but I'm very proud of them.

It was very tough, even though it was a good wicket to bat on, but a big credit to the Aussies, they bowled well on that wicket and I put my hand up and say that we didn't bat good,

We need to get that last wicket as soon as possible, bat well and then get them out quickly, ... But we'd have settled for this position at the start. If we bat with discipline, I'm pretty confident.
