Courtney ran a good race tonight, but was a little off pace. I am still looking for some faster early splits to get her total time down, but that will come as the season progresses.

This is a Navy town. About 80 percent of our economy is generated by the base, directly or indirectly. That's a big deal to us.

I was very pleased with the guys tonight, as times were improved from what they have been running on our home course. Again, however, there are some gaps in times that must be closed in order for us to compete as the season progresses.

Our congressman, Bill Thomas, certainly had an impact. That certainly could offset all of the other congressional interventions, for sure.
