It will often be his duty, therefore, to establish a certain economy in the internal life of the Church, so that people are released to give time and energy to fulfilment of their Christian duty in the worlds of industry or politics or business or professional life, where their most determinative decisions have to be taken. A new puritanism is urgently needed in most churches, which cuts away ruthlessly from their life all organizations and activities which prevent their members from grappling with their real task.

The experience of the Jews in relation to Jesus, and of the churches throughout the ages, demonstrates that this is the most persistent and far-reaching temptation which confronts men. To call attention to this is always an urgently necessary part of the prophetic ministry within the Church.

Palm Sunday In the person of Christ, the formidable law of God, which by itself appalls us by its vast comprehensiveness and truth, and makes us hide ourselves from its dread sanctity, is brought down into the life of a brother, ... and we see it illustrated and ratified in human action, we see righteousness that makes us feel more bitterly our sin, that makes us look more disparagingly upon our own efforts, yet leaves in us a longing to be like Him, as if we ought to be as He is.

Wisdom begins at the end.

Martin's shot was like a light bulb coming on for us. We're a backwards team. You'd like for your defense to get your offense going but we're the opposite. When we make shots, that gets our defense going.

We're just really playing well together. The last four or five games, I've been starting our seniors. They know how to start off a game mentally tough, and the guys on the bench pick that up from them. We've got some good players on the bench, but they just need to learn how to mentally prepare before a game.
