Christmas is going to be tough on a lot of people here in Greenville, but it is going to be especially tough on people who don't even have a house to put a tree up, ... The needs change daily. By that time, they are going to have a whole different bunch of needs.

It is especially around Christmas time when people have the opportunities to look through your windows to see what you've got. If they see a lot of gifts under the tree, sometimes that's an incentive for these people to take advantage of the situation.

On Christmas morning, my Mam and Dad were downstairs shouting to me to look out the window.
They’d shout, ‘There’s Santa.’
Dad used to ring this bell and say it was one of Santa’s bells on the sleigh. I could hear Santa’s bells ringing as I jumped out of bed, really excited and I looked out the bedroom window in to the dark morning, fully expecting to see Santa and co magically flying through the air and maybe even he would spot me and give me a wave.
‘I can’t see him,’ I’d proclaim in sadness and then the bells would stop and I knew he’d have gone to someone else’s house, but I also knew that he hadn’t forgotten me.
I’d run downstairs and in to the room whilst still in my pyjamas where the prezzies were. The excitement was unbelievable and my parents used to buzz as they watched my face beaming up at them in joy.

It would have cost us about $630 just for gas for a pickup truck and trailer,

It would be great if we would get so much stuff that we have to send another trailer down in November, ... We know as time passes there will be different needs, things like light bulbs and lumber. We will probably continue for six months to a year, as long as they still need our help.

Other concerns are snakes and bugs, ... It's 92 degrees with 100 percent humidity. They are praying for no rain for a while.
