Charlie and Ross were just three to five seconds apart most of the race. Charlie looked very good the last three-quarters mile of the race as he was able to pull away from Ross. We just aren't deep enough just yet to compete team-wise.

Erin and Sarah ran 1-2 from the mile mark on. It's nice to complete that first race. Now we have some race times to gauge future workouts. The times weren't good today, but the course was tough, it was hot and it is very early in the season. I liked the effort that all our boys and girls gave today. I thought we did a good job of competing.

Do not overestimate the decency of the human race

I believe that no discovery of fact, however trivial, can be wholly useless to the race, and that no trumpeting of falsehood, however virtuous in intent, can be anything but vicious

Everyone is not able, or inclined, to write poetry in the narrower sense any more than everyone is qualified to take part in a walking race. But just as all of us can and do walk, so all of us can and do use language poetically.

We've had a good start to our Ivy season. Destiny is in our hands: if we play great we can have great outcomes.
