I find it hard to believe that one of his aides didn't find it salient to know before he voted. If he said he didn't know, then he's just not doing his job. It's just appalling. That's hardly any kind of excuse.

It's certainly interesting that again his daughter's working for ultimately oil interests. That's where all the money in Saudi Arabia comes from, after all.

You've got the foxes guarding the hen house, and that is never a good way to make public policy,

But usually there is not a big pot of public money set aside to do these kinds of things that are going on in Pennsylvania,

That's how you get into leadership. It's not your personality or your charm. It's whether or not you can bring money to the party.
