He (the police officer) was pushing hard, as hard as he possibly could. Did he (Stutz) jump up, scream at him, cuss at him...if that anger isn't there, then why?

Maybe some of his decisions were a little misguided.

It's not always the results. Sometimes it's seeing their poise or lack thereof. You want to see if they'll battle when it gets tough.
