Between the junior and senior year you see kids mature a great deal, socially and emotionally. These are kids.

Those guys are just tough kids. They're old school and they're scrappers. They were just tremendous and stepped up and played very well for us.

He's a special player. There's no doubt about that. What's good about him is that he's really developed over the last two years.

It's basically Doug [Wiggins] and four new starters. It shows not only how good he is, but how good the others have been to make the jump from not playing varsity to having to fill in spots that we didn't anticipate.

I say this with all due respect. It wasn't a typical game for him. He missed a lot of shots. He missed a lot of free throws. But obviously he gets us going. He's the key to what we do.

They were just throwing guys at Dougie and it was hard to get into a flow. It was up to us to try to settle down, make the extra pass and get to the foul line.
