We were at our best when we were playing in the dance halls of Liverpool and Hamburg. The world never saw that.

Anyone who knows the history of the Pete Best Band or the Combo, we were on the verge of breaking in in America. In the mid-'60s, I had great songwriters; we wrote some great stuff.

Paul's had a great career, and he's having a great career. And you have to admire him for his courage. He was courageous enough after the Beatles broke up to say, 'I'm going back on the road,' and he formed Wings.

The way I look at it, ... just let it lie now.
