Before the advent of video games, bridge was a very popular college game. If they weren't in class, they were playing bridge, unless they were asleep.

For some kids who never even dreamed of going to college, they come to see the games and black football teams and bands from black colleges, and they see what's possible.

First of all, a lot of [players] go to college games. A lot of times they go to Maryland and Georgetown games. When Mason is playing [Old Dominion] or someone really good, they like to watch. This buzz has really started.

The quickness of the games and recognizing different fronts are the biggest differences between this and playing in college,

This was a big win in terms of the District 1 (Class) AAA playoffs. We are two games ahead of them, and there are two automatic bids from the league. It was a big game in that respect standings-wise.

The big elephant in the room is the fact the Class A state championship games wouldn't be on and those are the biggest schools in the state.
