Because of my own family's service (in the U.S. Army, Navy, and Massachusetts and New York National Guard), I am a strong supporter of the military and do believe that there are just wars.

I want to own the New York Jets, that's what I want. And I absolutely believe I am going to own the Jets.

For weeks after 9/11 you could smell the dust and pulverised concrete in New York, and the National Guard came in, so there was a military presence on the streets. It was intense. Overwhelming. Heartbreaking.

I don't go to New York. I don't go to parties. I just do my business and study nature. My career is 28 years in an obscure art school, with limited staff and no perks. All I am is a teacher.

Early on, New York already had a national and even international identity.

Oregonians aren't the only ones who recognize the extraordinary service and sacrifice of their state's National Guard.
