As somebody who thinks Tennessee history is important, I want to make certain that's still a part of the curriculum. I think that's critical for the people growing up in our school system.

When I was growing up, I went to an Irish-Christian missionary school.

I think it's very important that we instill in our kids that it has nothing to do with their name or their situation that they're growing up in; it has to do with who they are as an individual.

I want to show every part of me and every color of me. And I think, growing up Albanian, I wanted to bring that to light.

Growing up, I was always in normal public school which is very important in my eyes.
