As long as the Pentagon bankrolls the Pakistan army to fight its wars, and NATO troops remain in Afghanistan, there will be quarrels, charges of infidelity, a reduction in the household allowance, perhaps a separation - but a divorce? Never.

Afghanistan never wants separation between families on both sides of the border. Those who live in those areas are connected and are members of one family.

Eventually the US Army will go back to Afghanistan. They've got to get back to that mission.
