Arbor Day is not like other holidays. Each of those reposes on the past, while Arbor Day proposes for the future.

The cultivation of trees is the cultivation of the good, the beautiful, and the ennobling in man, and for one, I wish to see it become universal.

Each generation takes the earth as trustees. We ought to bequeath to posterity as many forests and orchards as we have exhausted and consumed.

It's definitely behind me now. I know I'm strong mentally, so I got past it pretty fast. It happened on the court a couple of months ago. I know I'd been feeling pain in it for a while now, but I just played through it.

It is a cruel, ironical art, photography. The dragging of captured moments into the future; moments that should have been allowed to be evaporate into the past; should exist only in memories, glimpsed through the fog of events that came after. Photographs force us to see people before their future weighed them down....

I just like watching arrows fly. At the end of the day, no matter how well or bad you shot, you can't put it on anyone else. At the Big E, I had one bad shot and I was off for a while, but a good one and I was back on. That's what keeps me coming back.
