And he wrote a letter after this manner: / Claudius Lysias unto the most excellent governor Felix sendeth greeting.

And when the governor had read the letter, he asked of what province he was. And when he understood that he was of Cilicia; / I will hear thee, said he, when thine accusers are also come. And he commanded him to be kept in Herod's judgment hall.

When he wrote a letter, he would put that which was most material in the postscript, as if it had been a by-matter

In like manner shalt thou do with his ass; and so shalt thou do with his raiment; and with all lost thing of thy brother's, which he hath lost, and thou hast found, shalt thou do likewise: thou mayest not hide thyself.

But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.

Only conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ; so that whether I come and see you or remain absent, I may hear of you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel.
