Allowing the large fraction of wetlands in New Orleans to disappear is an extremely expensive thing.

By allowing Delta to merge with Continental or Northwest, we would have three extremely large airlines accounting for 75 percent of market. But it would be harder for American and United to dominate Delta if Delta were to merge.

We have to shore this thing up like a New Orleans levy.

If New Orleans is allowed to die, a crucial part of the world's music heritage will disappear.
