All my life, I faced sexism and racism and then, when I hit 40, ageism.

Ageism is as odious as racism and sexism.

Bigger than life is not difficult for me. I am bigger than life.

It’s not loving a man that makes life harder for gay guys, it’s homophobia. It’s not the color of their skin that makes life harder for people of color; it’s racism. It’s not having vaginas that makes life harder for women, it’s sexism. And it’s ageism, far more than the passage of time, that makes growing older harder for all of us.

Racism, anti-Semitism, homophobia, sexism, anything Nazi and a boatload of other things have no place in my life.

I'm so damn lucky to still be here at 85. If I get a hangnail, I don't dare complain! Life is good. I wake up humming.
