All kinds of thing pick up in spring. Spring is supposed to be a time for romance. I guess that gives us energy to pursue all kinds of things as the days lengthen.

I think everyone finds it harder to drag yourself through the day. I think we're all affected by it ? myself included ? to varying degrees.

Exercise certainly has a positive effect on mood. It doesn't have to be anything more than a brisk walk for 20 minutes a day.

How much do the doldrums impair your ability to carry life forward? Can you get to work? Are you doing well at work?

I think we're all sensitive to those changes. We're much more tightly tied to the cycles of the Earth and the universe than we like to admit.

Once Al got that interception and that touchdown, I think everybody felt it was our time, ... When it happened, I had to kind of look back twice wondering if it's really happening because it's been so long.
