After those two tough games, I felt like our kids got through this one on guts alone. I told several people that if anything, this tournament showed us our true character.

After 18 years of coaching, he's the best player I've ever coached and the best kid I've ever been around.

The thing about him is he's going to go somewhere to play basketball, but also use it to get him a good education. And as good of a player as he is, he's a better kid.

You have to find different ways to win games and that's what we were able to do. We didn't have some of the prettiest goals in the world, but they were goals. We wanted to find out if we have the caliber of team that can take it up a notch when we have to and we did.
