After the tech bubble burst, many Canadian investors were afraid of stocks; bonds were anemic. And people started hearing about income trusts.

We are hearing a lot from the companies about building out in rural South Dakota. We just aren't hearing about the balloons being used.

I think we're sick of hearing about it as well, and we're sick of hearing coach talk about it, what the rankings have us and how we shouldn't think about that. I think we want to go out and make our own rankings and put ourselves in the category of the elite.

With the pace of things, sometimes those things don't get the full hearing they deserve. We didn't get the chance to offer up public comment because there were no public hearings on it. So now we've got to make certain we have a clear understanding of what the Legislature meant so the affected businesses know where they stand. We want to establish a comfort level rather than creating more confusion.

Everything was fair game. Hearing senior executives say things like, 'I want the people responsible for those features in my office early next week; I want to get to the bottom of this' was at least one measure of success from my point of view for the event.

We enjoy hearing the stories and how proud people are of their loved ones.
