After my parents died, people were always asking me, 'Where are the dancers? I had no idea they danced so much they were nicknamed 'the dancers.' In my family we always danced. We always went where music was involved.

We never missed a rodeo. My father was a trainer of Walking Horses and belonged to the Mounted Calvary, and I was a member of the Junior Riding Club. We were horse people.

The Main Street festivals weren't nearly as big then as they are now. But we always went because we loved the music part of it.
