A world in which people with learning difficulties have access to the resources they need to live happier, healthier, more secure and more meaningful lives.

One of the most promising developments since the publication of “The Geek Syndrome” has been the emergence of the concept of neurodiversity: the notion that conditions like autism, dyslexia, and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) should be regarded as naturally occurring cognitive variations with distinctive strengths that have contributed to the evolution of technology and culture rather than mere checklists of deficits and dysfunctions.

And she said that sometimes you wish for something very hard, it can kind of come true inside your own head, and it can seem real.

The glass is half full, the glass is half empty or nothing is in the glass, these are the metaphorical situations created by our mind to give ourselves hope, which is to expect something better in the future or to hold on to what we have in hand. Success is always about playing these situations to perfection. The level of our play will be proportionate to the level of hope, which again is a laborious form of a wish. A wish is belief in miracles but a hope is working to get due returns against the invested efforts.

Perhaps a wish was just a hope with better aim.
