A single base station will handle 30,000 subscribers using 300 minutes per month, based on current cellular-usage models. But we expect to drive a change in usage patterns. Even at 3,600 minutes per month, the system will support 2,500 users.

Because their proposal is based on rather specific models and assumptions and their is no current evidence for it, I would say it logically possible, but not compelling.

They're going to be exploiting our cellular phones, our TV signals. They're going to be using our own technology against us. We're going to spotlight how we are really quite vulnerable in ways we hadn't anticipated before.

A lot of this will be based around either retaining the minutes on the mobile network or dragging the minutes back onto the fixed network. If you're an IT manager, then pulling minutes back onto the fixed network through your own PBX will have enormous cost savings.

It's a subscription-based model. [Firms] pay on a per-user, per-year basis.
