A person should design the way he makes a living around how he wishes to make a life.

A musician has to find a way to make his music mean something special - spiritually or however you can.

Why should poetry have to make sense?

And the president is all wrong when he maintains that a nominee should have an up-or-down vote. The Constitution doesn't say that. The Constitution doesn't say that that nominee shall have any vote at all. There doesn't have to even be a vote.

I don't love the whole Hollywood mentality, but I do love the weather and how motivated everyone is around here. It motivates me to make fun music.

The urge for good design is the same as the urge to go on living.
