Once we have a war there is only one thing to do. It must be won. For defeat brings worse things than any that can ever happen in war.

Difficulty need not foreshadow despair or defeat. Rather achievement can be all the more satisfying because of obstacles surmounted.

We should not give up and we should not allow the problem to defeat us.
