A lot of times, the preseason gets discredited by the fans and media. It helps so much to get that momentum going into the season.

I remember my first year, obviously I'm a free-agent nobody and one of the last guys in the receiver line, and he was always paying particular attention to me, making sure my details were right and giving me positive feedback. A guy like Jack Snow - you're going to miss him.

He's part of this family. You know it's more serious than we'd like it to be when he has to miss practice because he's tired. He loves the game so much. He loves the team so much. And he's such a competitor that he doesn't want to miss anything.

It's definitely a different feeling, but it'll be great to go out there on Sunday night and try to redeem ourselves in front of the whole country. It's a chance to prove we're not as bad as our record looks.

I know Kevin (Curtis) and Shaun (McDonald) are great players, and they're getting a lot of attention right now. I've just got to make sure that Coach (Mike Martz) knows that I'm still here. I'm still the same guy that caught 47 balls a couple years ago.

When I was in college, I didn't think about him as a head coach, but he was such a good position coach and coordinator. Looking back, his qualifications as a leader really stood out. He was a guy who could relate to the players, since he was a former player himself. He's a great guy, very knowledgeable.
