A lot of scientists on Earth think of things that they could do in zero g. Things like the way metals cure, for example, and the way fluids react in space can tell us a lot about some of the unknowns we have on Earth.

This new facility is already producing thrilling data. For example, CBC scientists have been able to locate the site of charge modification on specific regions of the proteins responsible for contraction and relaxation of the heart. These charge modifications may well have implications for healthy heart function and provide important information for drug targeting and early diagnosis of heart failure. We anticipate similar breakthroughs in many other areas of health and disease.

We could not, for example, arrive at a principle like that of entropy without introducing some additional principle, such as randomness, to this topography.

The annex has flexible space that allows us to change how we use this building. For example, we have a room equipped with a partition which allows us to open up a room for banquets, etc.

She's always been more of a do-it kind of player. She's been a leader through her example more than her talking.

This work is an excellent example of how K-State scientists work across disciplines to build effective teams, ... Had it not been for these faculty members reaching out to each other to share their individual observations relative to research and teaching, this exciting discovery might well have gone unnoticed.
