A good manager finds satisfaction in helping others be productive, not being the most productive person in the room.

There's a lot of satisfaction helping people.

When you're not a manager, what you produce is your value to the company. When you move into management, you're rewarded for making other people more productive rather than producing yourself. You need to redefine that measure of success so you don't get involved in production anymore.

It's not mistrust. It's a lack of belief that they, or you, can do what needs to be done.

Would you not like to try all sorts of lives / one is so very small / but that is the satisfaction of writing / one can impersonate so many people.
